This layout is going to be totally automatic. There is no traditional ‘control panel’ as all the trains are run by BloNgs also known as BC3s from the ‘Superbloc system’.
Platform arrivals and departures will be controlled by PICs. The PICs will also set routes and departure delay times. PIC programming by Dave Ayres.
The signals, controlled by the electronics, depict which train will be departing and where the trains must stop.
When La Shuttle is complete there will be a 4th board at the rear of the scenic sections. This will contain all of the electronics, PICs, BCs and signal drivers etc. The CDUs (Capacitor Discharge Units) will be under the scenic board close to the point motors.
